The Green Lounge
The Green Lounge is the heart of Karwan — a warm and generous gathering space where art, memory, and conversation meet.
Conceived as a living salon, it brings together books, antiques, a baby grand piano, and old family photographs — including images of Meryanne’s mesmerizing ancestors — creating a space layered with history and intimacy. Comfortable seating invites guests to linger, while expansive views open onto the surrounding landscape of Jnane Karwane.
Facing south, the terrace becomes the perfect vantage point for sunset drinks, as light slowly washes the palms and desert horizon in gold.
On its walls, works by Mexican artist Francisco Toledo, Moroccan artist Mo Bala, Belgian artist Philippe Deltour, Senegalese artist Sambou Diouf, and Spanish artist de Alejandro de Avila reflect the family’s eclectic and deeply personal approach to collecting — a dialogue across continents, cultures, and sensibilities.
The Green Lounge is not merely a public space.
It is a place to gather, to reflect, and to feel at home.
